Thank you all who contacted me regarding Bart's passing.It's been painful,and I so appreciate all the Viva support.Bart aka Henry's Memorial will be May 19th in Grass Valley,Ca. at the Briar Patch Food Co op at 9:30 am.Dress comfortably.Nothing will be provided except love and gratefulness.
I started this thread because I decided to get up at 4am tomorrow morning( haven't been sleeping anyway!).And go to Downtown Sacramento to protest Jeff Sessions speech to law enforcement regarding ICE deportation.My County,Nevada, is a sanctuary county.But it is also the Birth of the Tea Party.It's a true mix,and usually try not to get into the fray of politics publicaly.Tomorrow will be different.I am mad and won't hold it in.Since I am not a poster on Facebook,Twitter,or blogger or even call people on a cellphone person.....I'm going earl all just me at 6 am to Downtown Sacramento to protest this unfair Trump policy.
I really want to share that tonight ,I am now a a pissed off white woman in the crowd of undocumented people to disagree with the unfair Trump policy.I am a fourth generation from Santa Cruz California.The alienation,pure discrimination and illegal undertakings of what is happening now has lit a fire with my sensibilities.
Jeff Sessions,speaking in Sacramento early tomorrow morning to tell us Californians how to treat immigrants how pulled my pissed off pin to the maximum!
California WAS MEXICO .....long before it was in the US.
wish me good tiddings.....and hope I don't need a lawyer because I am called for Jury Duty on Thursday morning,which I don't want to miss.

I don't find their position hypocritical necessarily. You can recognize the executive has the right to challenge CA's immigration laws, but still think they shouldn't. The CA laws don't don't directly contradict federal laws, they just impede their enforcement.
I think each of these 3 laws should be examined separately when discussed. It's certainly not black and white. I hope Ken posts his thoughts.

Just back home.It was quite a angry crowd where without knowing where to stand,I was somewhat squished between Channel 10 tv camera guy and Channel 3 guy.I am very short and even if I wanted,couldn't move.The gathering wasn't huge but people and speakers powerful.The other white people seemed to be from the Jewish faith.And not too many white haired folks.There were three helicopters circling,hundreds of police on foot,rooftops,on bike's and cars blocking the street s around the Golden Center and hotel where Jeff Sessions was.Apparently Eric Holden,(former Attorney General),DACA organizations and some state politicians are drafting a legal response to Sessions which will be released later today. Ain't no time for hate in my opinion.But the Nazi mentality in America has been growing beyond belief.

By successfully asserting the primacy of federal law over state law before the Supreme Court, Obama’s DOJ may have thwarted California’s attempt to ‘resist’ Trump administration immigration policy.
Essentially, Kennedy ruled that Congress — through its comprehensive statutory scheme — had “occupied the field” of alien registration and thus “even complementary state regulation is impermissible.” (Emphasis added.) This so-called “field preemption” reflects “a congressional decision to foreclose any state regulation in the area [preempted], even if it is parallel to federal standards.” After waxing eloquent about the importance of immigration in the American national story, Kennedy’s opinion goes on to conclude that “Arizona may have understandable frustrations with the problems caused by illegal immigration . . . but the State may not pursue policies that undermine federal law.”

Arizona's law was "complimentary" to existing Federal Law (ie it simply wanted to enforce that which was on the books but the Obama administration was ignoring) and the Supreme Court still overruled it The CA laws are explicitly "uncomplimentary" in that they attempt to alter existing Federal Law. It will be very hard for CA to win this one once it gets to the Supreme Court based on existing legal precedent.

Henry and I so enjoyed meeting you ,your support during medical trips and really loved your trip stories with your son Kai.
'Strangla' was a close second favorite photo trip guy.The Air Conditioning guy in Florida was also a big favorite.
Many Others!But I think that all that who ever connected in person or onsite would agree that he was a BEAUTIFUL MAN.
