Shitty Times. No need to 'apologize' but it's a position that is well understood. These days huge flags on vehicles pretty much adds up to an even bigger jackass behind the wheel. I generally dislike both parties but the GOP always seem to easily edge out with the bigger clown bus for me, particularly with their fake jesus-loving claims and other forced morality misses, not to mention their flimsy economic policies that more than favor their donor base....and I really don't want to argue about it at all either so I completely understand your position, especially as a business owner. Hang in there! I know FL has really become a different place in ways. I used to spend a lot of time in and around Ft Lauderdale, The Keys, and beyond, scuba diving and generally goofing off which was all good, with many and some extended visits over the years but have not been there since 2015.

But anyway, the kooks are everywhere - yesterday at Costco in Burbank, CA I saw a "work truck" with 2 huge flags: one said Fuck Biden and the other displayed an old, original colony flag with 13 stars in a circle which I suppose equates to a yearning back to the slavery days?

Back in the cocaine cowboy days I lived in Hallandale Fl.,next to Miami 83-84 We had a dude with a big truck that had a huge rebel flag on a pole like these Trumpers driving all around and thru the hood. Used to see him all the time until he made one final drive thru the hood, and got a bullet in his head.

My Grandparents had a condo in Hallandale Beach for 20 years or so. My Uncle, as a boat captain based out of FLL, was also present and accounted for back in those rampant smuggling days too. I only heard the nearly unbelievable tales, all the up to and beyond the shady shit he saw and experienced on the open seas and quiet Bahamian islands during the Ollie North/Noriega days.

I think Biden has been doing a pretty good job, considering all that he inherited and that's going on in the world. In fact, I think the way he's handled Ukraine has been stellar. He's built a world coalition, as well as one domestically, and he's done it very quietly so as not to make things worse. In this case, his 75 years of experience and knowledge has really been a plus.

OK was the only state where all counties (77) voted for The Asshole in '16.   Lots of confederate, anti- Biden and Dump '24 flags here too .  And the number of 70k, 12mpg, flag-laden, high lift 4 wh drive trucks in a state that suffers from 3" of snow a year is mind boggling.

Pretty sure he did not agree to decriminalize during the campaign. Bidden is just an old guy who sees all drug use through the lens of his meth smoking son that can't get himself to walk away from the pipe. 

I think that Biden has done a pretty damn good job in his response to Putin. He very silently built a world coalition, and also one of both Democrats and Republicans. The fact that he did it silently is a credit to his 100 years of political and foreign policy knowledge. I don't think that any of the other 2020 candidates would have done anywhere near as good a job.

I too long for federal level cannabis reform.

I think many were surprised at the length Manchin and Sinema were willing to go to fuck up Biden's agenda.  I doubt the votes are there in light of those two's recalcitrance. 

To trash Biden over a single issue is just as politically weird as the right wingers who only vote over abortion.  The single issue voter literally has blinders on.

Broad change comes from coalition and compromise.

Also in light of what the right is up to all over this land AND the fact that cannabis is legal at some level in many places there are much greater challenges to deal with.

aiq, I completely agree on single-issue voting (being a problem, etc) and was only pointing out a broken (so far?) Biden campaign promise. Many don't like it but unless/until DEMs can put forth electable middle-of-the-road candidates that are not necessarily moderates (delicate walk, I know) they will have to deal with and navigate those like Manchin, Sinema, et al. The current DEM power majority is very fragile and, at least at home with domestic issues, he is mostly failing. I detest the modern-day GOP but they are unfortunately better as messaging, even if fake/false, and seem to be well-aligned for a Congressional take-over...which Fkn Sux! The 10-15% extreme fringes of both parties are nearly useless.

Harris seems/seemed fully behind legalization but, alongside other issues and pushes, Biden keeps her well under wraps and largely hidden behind the scenes which is not helping her or him. Harris is polling terribly and Biden seems largely to blame for much of that. I am not really a fan of Harris either but he picked her and should let her shine, instead of merely dumping some of the nearly impossible larger issues on her in the beginning of the Administration's term and then mostly keeping her well into the shadows since.....and, yes, I have and still do mostly see Biden as goplite. He'll soon be budging away from some of his more prehistoric views as his numbers crater, for better or worse. I am quite opposed to the prevailing progressive desire to forgive student loans though.
