So anyway, I've been going to the Chiropractor since January, after some guy crashed my truck with his car.
Few weeks back he was talking about restoring his backyard fence. Rotten posts, it's falling apart, that stuff.
I told him to get pressure-treated 4x4 posts (same form-factor as the old ones that rotted). Then he was saying "what's the best way to set those firmly in the ground? Do I put a bunch of gravel in the post-holes and tamp it in?"
My response was basically, "You could approach the project in many different ways. However, here's what I've observed the professional Fence people doing. Get a few bags of Quick-Crete, set your posts, then pour the stuff around the posts and add Water. The resulting cement block should be slightly below ground-level."
A week later he says "Wow that worked Great, and I didn't have to fool around mixing concrete in a wheelbarrow !"
It turns out I could not locate the Bug Spray. There is some old can of "Raid" in the Barn, but I'm not about to spray that indoors -- maybe for a Murder Hornet...
However, I had some Krylon spray paint. I chose 'Emerald Green Gloss' for the project.
Turns out that when you paint the Stink Bugs, they can't fly very well, and drop Dead quickly.
Sorry bugs, there's no room for you here.
I saw two bugs mating yesterday...turned 'em over, and yes, they looked like the invasive stink bug. So I separated their mating ritual, (they really were stuck together...poor things), and smooshed them.
don't like killing many things, but the stink bugs really have taken over quickly.
found a huge bloody tick on the cat and removed that as well. That one got burnt, (after viewing under the dissecting scope!)

OK just getting back now to
OK just getting back now to refresh the topic. My power was out for a day, and I have to find the Bug Spray...
The "Chinese Stink Bugs" literally came out of the woodwork last few days, with the Warm temperatures.
They seem to be humping each other, which means they're breeding.

Well I had mentioned, "If you need post-hole diggers or a narrow spade, a pick, I have that stuff. There's even a gas-powered Auger."
But he said that he had enough hand-tools to accomplish his project.
Fast - forward to when he got the pickets attached to the cross-members.
"The gate drags on the ground, and the pickets are not quite even length, and some Square ends should be Pointy..."
