Very cool Earl, keep on biking!

Nice to see you, Earl! Beautiful weather and scenery!

Big bike fan here. I average 75 miles a week as long as it is above freezing.

Nice going, Earl!

People are over-distracted these days.  I'd look into getting a helmet.

Alright Earl, I'm a block from the downtown water front park and Hundreds of miles of bike paths. Just started cycling about a year ago and bought the wife a bike for Christmas. Orlando has been connecting all of the areas bike paths and they go everywhere now. I also live in an area of Florida that has hills.

Nice, Earl. You're a star, but we knew that.

nice pics of the trails in my area,  does not look like Florida where I live though

Earl we are one of the hot spots in the country for Triathlons. With your swimming and riding you may be able to medal in a race

Nice profile, Earl.

"Buck"? All these years that we've called you Earl you've been "Buck"?

Happy biking. Sounds like you've found a good life, just add a helmet, you know.

 "ponytailed Deadhead and self-professed hippie"

Sweet dude!

Makes me want to start biking again.

Looking good Buck!

Puts my fat 67 yr old ass to shame.

The author is a friend of mine, and a semi-retired writer and rock critic.  Also a long-time 2 on 2 basketball partner at the above-mentioned YMCA, who plays uber intensely, we kicked a lot of younger players asses over the years. I'm gonna say it- I do have a deadly jump shot, and ONLY he called me "The Earl of Buckets", hence "Buck". No one else calls me that, I swear, Judit.

Anyway, biking is obviously a great exercise for us old mofo's, and I do have to get out of the house a few hours a day. St. Pete is a very bike-friendly city, and, yes, I'm too vain to wear a helmet- I've haven't cracked my noggin for over 60 years, so I'll play those odds for now. I'm more of cruiser/looking for women types than one of the spandex dudes trying to break a world record, or whatever... thanks for the various compliments, kids.

I wasn't gonna ask, but since you mentioned it, I thought you found a lady you were pretty high on last year. Sorry it didn't work out. Keep biking...and looking.

I sure don't - but whatever turns you on, Earl.

Interesting that you remember that, Slick, but it's been a few years now. Of course, there's still a spot in my heart for the statuesque Swedish artist, Socialist, metaphysical, law-of-attraction enthusiast, hypersensitive, empathetic, gorgeous sex maniac. But that's me.

Sixer- go back to your fetal position knowing that I still love you.

I have had some decent times in Florida. Dont think i'd do too well living there, though.

You might consider changing your screen name to the earl of buckets.

and good on you for taking care of yourself man. I hope i'm still in that kind of shape in 30 years

>>>>> the statuesque Swedish artist, Socialist, metaphysical, law-of-attraction enthusiast, hypersensitive, empathetic, gorgeous sex maniac. But that's me.

You're all those things? Wow.

Keep on crankin', Earl! I have always loved bikes and still ride a lot too...speaking of your neck of the woods, I have very fond memories of a Spring '91 road trip out of IL that had "Me and Moni-Lee" tripping hard on a beach near Honeymoon Island State Park at sunset. Beautiful!! Some military helicopters seemed to appear out of nowhere and I swore they coming for us. It seemed like they could open fire at any second - something straight out of "Vietnam". Whew! Close call. After chilling out in some Tarpon Springs park for a while, paranoid of gators, we drove around lost for what seemed like an eternity, only to wind up right where we camped the night prior in the same general area and did so again that night. Good Times!!

Thanks, Strawbud. Honeymoon Island is a killer spot that is still the same as Mother Nature would have it since then. About 15 miles north of St. Pete. Those chopper's might've been  Coast Guard, or MacDill Air Force Base is just across Tampa Bay from here- all heavy duty.

One disclaimer from the article, if I may- I never referred to myself as a "hippie". He's known for years that I'm a Deadhead, but threw in that word, probably, because he know's I'm a stoner. The one cheesy sentence.

Anyway, may God bless us all a with health around here and heal anyone who's struggling.

>>Sixer- go back to your fetal position knowing that I still love you.

Well, thankfully it's not the fatal position yet, lover boy.

>>>Interesting that you remember that, Slick, but it's been a few years now.

Earl, I'm not good sometimes on "time", especially factoring the COVID months. I remembered it for a couple of reasons. First, I was glad to see another human so happy about what was happening in their life and from what I know about you, you  seem like a real nice guy who deserves happiness.

The other reason is I was impressed, as often, when we get up in our years, we're kinda set in our ways and meeting someone and the merging of two lives at that stage is unique and difficult to be successful at. It often doesn't work. That sometimes keeps older people who are unhappy together, and not maximizing their happiness in later years.

Living the Florida lifestyle to the fullest!

Floridians are called everything from shiftless and lazy, to Floriduh, and everything in between. Truth be told ya'll are jealous.

Earl you do live in a great prt of the state in St. Pete, you have tons of clean white beaches, girls in bikinis, bike ridable roads all around, girls in bikinis, concerts, nightlife, restaurants, girls in bikinis and so much more.

Getting creative with your exercising and social distancing, till you get to the girls in bikinis.

Little river rod and a crab trap and you are living the American Dream.

Stay healthy and safe and keep your eyes peeled......for girls in their bikinis.

Earl, I remember that time in your life, things were radically different from how you'd been living and you were thrilled being alive. It was a good time for you. Those of us who knew you in the Hep C folder have watched many things change over the years. And in many of our lives, too.

Remember kids, for every Florida Man, there are two Florida Women:

Tim- yer' right about St. Petersburg. I've seen dramatic change during the 33 year's I've lived here, and it's still blowin' up. Sometimes it seems growth is gonna sink this peninsula, but the energy is amazing, especially with the Rays still here.

Yeah, Judit, it's been a long ride of 20 years around here, which is hard to believe. A lot of evolving for all of us.

I hope you're feeling well tonight!

Dave usually it the old girls trying to pass themselves as 20 years younger, and there ain't nothing wrong with that

and did anyone mention bikinis yet?

Could be worse...
