How the f#%^ do you find prices listed on Google flights?!

Forums:

Trying from phone

will look up steps on laptop later

but going direct to airlines website

the prices are never that low

always use Expedia - 24 hour to cancel

see great prices in google flights that never see on the other search sites

how do you get those prices listed ?!?!!

have about 12 hours to cancel now

help!!

good luck

1) Click on the desired price for outbound. Screen will then switch to show Return flights.

2) Click on desired price for return flight.  Screen will switch to a screen that shows RT itinerary and price.

3) Click on button w/ final RT price... it usually shoots you to a page on the airline site w/ a fare that matches.

Good luck!

Seems very cumbersome ... why not do it like kayak or expedia where they publish outbound / return combinations with prices immediately available?

Agree - it's cumbersome for sure -- but they don't add fees.

I noticed they are launching a new site... will have to compare it...

Lol

got it figured out!

How hard would it be to search in Kayak or Expedia, then just go over to Google to buy?

Google just sends the user to the airline site in the end.

I don't use Kayak / Expedia for research, but in the end I typically buy off of the airline site...just my habit.

So if one gets sent to the airline site in the end, how does that save the fees?

95% of the time I also go to the airline / hotel site directly in the end, but I really like Kayak for being able to dial-in the times and rates (or locations for hotels).
