On Tuesday California - VOTE Yes On Prop 6 To REPEAL THE GAS TAX - thank you.

you don't like good roads and bridges?

I Do T ! Not Crazy Gas Taxes and DMV Charges ! no Though My Rides Could Handle Rough Roads and Torrential Rains ! yes

I feel confident in predicting there will be more investigations after Wednesday.

Don't hesitate,  investigate..

Oy!

I'm concerned TOD might open fire at a Ted Nugent concert, regardless of how the midterms go.

We still have a couple of bottles of bubbly from election night 2016 which we never opened.   Will have to pop open one assuming the House flips.

See I already screwed that up for you. I voted to keep the gas tax even though I think it is a shitty way to raise money for infrastructure. Pisses me off that Tesla owners are exempt, and Democrats in general need to wake the fuck up and stop passing regressive taxes. Poor tend to drive old cars that get bad gas millage and drive further because they can’t afford to live near where they work.

But this initiative was only put on the ballot by cynical Republicans to help get out the vote in California in order to try and save the house from going blue. At the end of the day -  particularly in CA we are living on the infrastructure built by the much higher tax rates of the previous generation. At some point we need to pay for this shit. Just wish the taxes were more progressive.

voting for the rich lying asshole who claims he'll usher in rec sooner than the other rich lying asshole...

my life  wont be any different

Well this certainly will be the superbowel of politics!  I should go out rockhounding tomorrow, but sadly, I think drinking, toking, and snacking as the returns come in will have to do!

Vote because it won’t have any effect on your life seems like a pretty good reason to vote. Way better to have that, than the opposite.

I think despite the so-called blue wave dominating polls here the rent control prop 10 in this state will still be killed. This about covers it...

Here's a video of some waves vs rocks last weekend in Yachats,  just to prepare for the great blue wave....

Don't forget to vote, and please don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Definitely funnier than Pugsley.

I'm in the "not literal nazis" camp, except if Gillum takes Florida I'm making margaritas. If not, I am drinking straight whiskey until I reach the state where I don't care about anything.  Which usually doesn't happen til I'm passed out or in jail.

Worried about rent control but can't tell the difference between a dem and a rep....... Yeah, that makes a whole hell of a lot of sense.

We haven't votes yet, we are taking our 93 yr old legally blind neighbor with us. She's a trip. The 2016 election came while I was recuperating from a hip replacement. That Tuesday night sucked. I think tomorrow will be a good day for patriotic Americans

I have hope.

Jonas...In CA Dems killed a Medicare for all proposition that voters passed. Maybe in your state there's a bigger difference? Anyhooooooo, I've voted progressive in every election, including primaries. How 'bout you?

At any rate, I voted a couple weeks ago, I hope those democrats who couldn't be bothered to vote the last elections did their own "heavy lifting" this time.

Our neighbor had to have my wife help her with the ballot. The viewer they had for the visually impaired was not up and running. I was able to put my sp ed career to good use and got it working for the league of women voters. Huge turnout for midterm in our little burg

"Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says, "They suck". But where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. No, they come from American homes, American families, American schools, American churches, American businesses, and they're elected by American voters. This is the best we can do, folks. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out.

....I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain", but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain.

I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for that these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created. That I didn't have anything to do with. So when you're having one of those swell elections that you like so much...on that day I will be doing essentially the same as you...the only difference is when I get done masturbating I'll have a little something to show for it."
