Saw one of the best Hot Tuna shows of my life last night at the Paramount Theater in Huntington.
I had a very hectic day in the midst of a snow storm. Made a very cool Panko Crusted Fried Shrimp dinner, that I couldn't eat until I came home from the show.
Did not enter the theater until 8:25 & not sure what I missed.
Steve Kimock really added value, his and Jorma's guitars were mixed/blended beautifully. If Steve wasn't sweetly playing slide guitar he was helping Jorma get down and jam it long to another level. Both riffing of each other. Best jam partner for Hot Tuna since Papa John Creech.
Spectacular version of Good Shepherd. Best I ever heard. Rocking versions of Rock Me & Hit Single #1.
Very sorry I missed meeting up with Mr. Trailhead & Mr Jk. Hope you guys liked the show.
I was bushed from the Mavericks show the night before & missed the encore. What was it?
I was satisfied any ways. In my top 5 shows of the year, easily
PS - I was by these 2 really cool/friendly brunets chicks dancing up a storm up front. Then at intermission this gorgeous blonde girl came over & once the music began she started dancing like Elaine from Seinfeld. Jorma was trying not to laugh..lol

Nice.
Nice.
Didn't realize Jorma was that long-in-the-tooth. He's a national treasure in my eyes.
Going to see Jorma solo at the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead 3/9/18. Haven't seen Jorma solo in many years.

Cool review Bluelight, thanks
Cool review Bluelight, thanks. Glad you were able to make the show. Sounds like a great time. I agree, Kimock definitely makes a nice addition to the Hot Tuna lineup.
I enjoyed the video stream from the Cap. Another fine show. They’re really on a role. I can’t think of a time I was disappointed with a Hot Tuna show.

Thanks a lot Chuck.
Thanks a lot Chuck.
Ya know, I saw another Hot Tuna show in that building (when it was called IMAC) in January of 2004, the day after a blizzard and I badly sprained my ankle badly after slipping on some ice. The show was great though. I knew it would be a warm crowd & Hot Tuna would deliver again.
