Hot Tuna, Fur Peace Ranch, April 9 - 10

Forums:

Hot Tuna played wonderful shows at Jorma's backyard, Fur Peace Ranch. Mike is nice enough to post some pictures I took. Jorma and Jack are looking great and really jamming well. Everyone sang happy birthday to Jack on Saturday night, he'll be 78 on April 13. It was my first time at Fur Peace without my husband Leper, his favorite venue, but when someone dies you make it through many firsts. Both days ended with Funky #7, so much soul and heavy playing, they sounded like they were 20. The boys were having fun, and although they're a little slower, their friendship is longer and it lights up every song. Try to catch Hot Fuckin' Tuna if they are close to you, you never know when the touring will stop.

Sounds like a blessed Tuna weekend.  Glad to hear it!

So great that you got to go, those guys are so special and make it special. And yes, so true that you make it through many firsts. Over and over again.

So sweet that Jorma and Jack keep on playing their incomparable sounds in that beautiful friendship.

I'm going to hear them (acoustic) in June in Eugene. As you can imagine, I'm really looking forward to it.
