Historic Tampa Venue

After a sweet 40 year run the owners of Skippers Smoke House are putting up the place for sale and going fishing.

Lets hope it does not lose that funky laid back Florida feel, and that eclectic group of Tampa freaks that you find there. What a wide range of all types of acts, ska, bluegrass, reggae, rock, punk this place has brought in over the years. Nothing like a night under the stars and tree canopy, listening to some great music, enjoying a cold one and a few puffs. 
 

Mid eighties I lived a few blocks away and spent a lot of time there. thanx for all those great times skipper
