Every time I open Viva and see the Hoodoo Gurus thread, this band pops into my head. In case you don't know them . REM minus Stipe with Zevon on vocals . It was a fun cd not great but still worth a listen every now and then

As I recall, the R.E.M. guys didn't know this was being released.  It was recorded in one night involving heavy drinking in the midst of the sessions for Zevon's "Sentimental Hygiene" record, which R.E.M.s Berry, Buck and Mills (as well as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Flea and Brian Setzer) played on.  

Haven't heard it in years.
