Hillary

Forums:

Imagine what a different country and world we'd be living in today if ol' Hilldog had won fair and square in 2016.

A titan among titans who's candle burned out long before her legend ever did.

We would have been in more wars

But yea

Anything would've been better than the fall of the illusion of democracy

...and we would at least still have had a semi-functional govt

Like her or not, she was 100% correct when she called Trumpers "deplorables."

>We would have been in more wars<

Conjecture.

I could just as easily suggest that NATO would have remained strong and united, deterring Russia from more aggressive moves.

Yes, Russia was in the Crimea, but forces were not advancing. (There was a reason Putin did not want her as President)

We would still be in Syria (one war)

Afghanistan? Who knows

Trump use of drone attacks exceeded both Bush's and Obama’s use of drones.

Some reading...

Under Donald Trump, drone strikes far exceed Obama’s numbers

According to a 2018 repor in The Daily Beast, Obama launched 186 drone strikes in Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan during his first two years in office. In Trump’s first two years, he launched 238.

The Trump administration has carried out 176 strikes in Yemen in just two years, compared with 154 there during all eight years of Obama’s tenure, according toa countby The Associated Press and the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.

Experts also say drone strikes under President Trump have surged in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.

And, as was the case during Obama’s presidency, these strikes have resulted in untold numbers of civilian casualties.Accordingto the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, U.S. drone strikes in Afghanistan killed more than 150 civilians in the first nine months of 2018.

Amnesty Internationalreports drones have killed at least 14 civilians in Somalia since 2017.

As of January of this year, U.S. drone strikes fighting ISIS in Iraq and Syria have killed at least 1,257 civilians, according to the Pentagon, and a monitoring group,Airwars, estimates the number to be as great as 7,500.

Trump revokes Obama rule on reporting drone strike deaths

President Donald Trump has revoked a policy set by his predecessor requiring US intelligence officials to publish the number of civilians killed in drone strikes outside of war zones

There have been 2,243 drone strikes in the first two years of the Trump presidency, compared with 1,878 in Mr Obama's eight years in office, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism, a UK-based think tank

Trump’s Secret Rules for Drone Strikes and Presidents’ Unchecked License to Kill

On Friday night, in response to transparency lawsuits filed by the ACLU and the New York Times, the Biden administration released a redacted version of President Trump’s rules for the use of lethal force against terrorism suspects abroad. During the Trump administration, the Times and other media reported that the Trump rules weakened even the loose policy safeguards put in place by the Obama administration in 2013, which were also released in response to litigation in 2016. Despite redactions, the newly-revealed Trump rules show how far that administration went in casting aside any meaningful constraint on the United States’ use of lethal force abroad without meaningful oversight by Congress or the judiciary, and with devastating consequences for people’s lives

Better than the last guy.  That is all.

>Better than the last guy. That is all.<

The Supreme Court would certainly look much different.  Which would have led to a much different situation today.

The criticism sounds like the same myopic "both sides are the same" nonsense.

>>>>The Supreme Court would certainly look much different

True.  And that's why the Democrats should have never made Hillary their standard bearer.   She lost to Donald Fucking Trump for Christ's sake.  Only Hillary with all her baggage could pull off a stunt like that.

Damn. Whattup with the vortex between her legs in that pic?

Ken, as I wrote, a Supreme Court Seat was literally on the ballot. The voters who did not understand the importance of that election were fools. Ones still arguing that both sides are the same, are fools. Those who make the argument for that the lesser of two evils is still evil are fools.

Your statement, " Better than the last guy.  That is all." is foolish. Not only  is there the Supreme Court and their recent decisions. There was also covid. Do you think Clinton might have handled the pandemic with more competence?

But sure, just better than Trump, that's it.

Hillary didn't have as much baggage as was portrayed. She did, however, have a ton of experience.

After 8 years of Obama the inherent racism in the country reared its head. Trump probably would have beaten anyone, yes, including Bernie. That's all conjecture. Hillary won the primaries and she won the popular vote. Trump became president. We're now fucked for at least a full generation. The end.

Her friend just got sentenced to 20 years.

Let's hope her other friend DT gets sentenced also.

Thanks for your support on my awesome thread everyone. Btw watching Michael Flynn plead the 5th must have been sweet justice for my girl.

question...

Do you believe in the peaceful transfer of power?

Flynn: Fifth

>Her friend just got sentenced to 20 years<

Trump orchestrated an attempted coup, appointment three Christofascist justices, plus over 200 federal circuit court judges,  bungled the government's covid response,  and stoked and validated racism,  but sure, Clinton had some nefarious friends.

Slack, you're one of the aforementioned fools.

Live in the now.

Elf, the 1:22 post regarding Trump is the now. Living with the fallout

And it will get worse if these "both parties are the same " and "the lesser of two evils is still evil " folks refuse to take their heads out of their asses

What qualifies as the proper action, boss?

>>What qualifies as the proper action, boss?

Dude, you're not worthy of knowing until you buy a fucking house.

>>And it will get worse if these "both parties are the same " and "the lesser of two evils is still evil " folks refuse to take their heads out of their asses<<

are voters part of the problem?

or part of the solution?

Both, Elf

Do you think the Padres would have a world series pennant by now if they had taken Justin Verlander over Matt Bush in the 2004 draft?

Baseball is an enigma.

With this exception, Yankee fans are a captious bunch.

This is true. Nobody could've foreseen the troubles poor matt would have

(I didn't vote for Bush in '04)

Trump was a Democrat back then. A very popular guy with the Yanks fans, of course.

talk about unpredictable

< voters part of the problem?

"You mean to tell me everybody gets to vote ? Even the stupid ones ?"

True.  And that's why the Democrats should have never made Hillary their standard bearer.   She lost to Donald Fucking Trump for Christ's sake.  Only Hillary with all her baggage could pull off a stunt like that.<<<<

I voted for Gary Johnson in 2016.

If I had the luxury of hindsight and knew Colorado would go for Clinton, I'd still do it again; however, if I lived in a state such as Florida, it might be another story.

How many people refer to her as "Clinton"? (not saying some don't)

If you asked a statistician about the odds of a spouse of a former POTUS becoming a party nominee in a vacuum, would they not be astronomical?

Like it or not, seditionists (aka "Trump Supporters") are very much correct in their gut feeling about the government having been hijacked by special interests.  They're just 100% wrong about the "solution" & have been duped.

Until Dems "fess up" and get serious about electoral / institutional reform, we're all kind of screwed.

IMO, the best thing Biden can do with his remaining time is "tell all" about both sides and what needs to be changed.

Hillary got beat by an ignorant sociopathic con man. Not sure why we would want a person to be President who couldn't outmatch the most flawed candidate in US history. If there was ever an example of how far the DNC has slipped, it was attaching itself to someone who is void of likable human characteristics.

^ pretty spot-on...

Caption This Pic (Song Lyrics Edition)

she would have won had she gone on Howard prior to the election

then again: russia

".....Unforgettable, that's what you are. Unforgettable though near or far......"

Or is it ".....I got you, Babe..."?!?!?

Mock...Yeah...King...Yeah...Bird...Yeah...Yeah...Yeah...

Trump: "Who, Who, Who let the DOG out?"

Clinton: "Back in the, Back in the, Back in the USSR."

fwiw... (I better not see "Im With HER AGAIN" hats in 2024!!!!)

I get no kick from champagne
Mere alcohol doesn't thrill me at all
So tell me why should it be true
That I get a kick out of you

Some they may go for cocaine
I'm sure that if I took even one sniff
It would bore me terrifically too
Yet I get a kick out of you

"Babe, I got you babe"

Is Slacker still renting? I bet he's kicking himself for wasting all that time on the garbagezone instead of working towards a GED.
