Heard this might be the last HSMF with record low ticket sales:

Hopefully, a lot of people took advantage of the fire sale ticket prices.

Today's schedule.

Hey fellas. this is Elias Alexander on now

around the 20th, Hogh Sierra emailed their list that they were imminent danger of cancellation

i'm not sure the exact number of tickets sold, but apparently the following 3 days were their busiest in ticket sales ever

One of Molly's last shows with her bluegrass band,,,,or will she have her new band???  Sounds like the swan song for her bluegrass band will be Rocky Grass.

Thank you for all the information, gentlemen.  Was just getting ready to look for the schedule and it magically appeared!

^^ Molly has already done at least one show with the new band, that's what I expect to hear tonight.

Quinn calls it!

If Madonna and String Cheese Incident had a baby it might sound something like this

Seventh or eighth show with this band, she says

That short stretch of dogs in a pile was right nice.

First time I've heard them.

Just back from a day out at the HSMF. Saw Amy Helm with her band (including the great Brian Mitchell) and it was good, with a Jennifer Hartswick sit-in on vocals for a tune (Toussaint's 'Yes we Can'). Then caught a great tent set by Holly Bowling, built around the Terrapin Suite. She's brought in some looping effects which gives her a bigger sound. it was well received and I'm a big fan, even bigger now. Capped it off with a just about perfect (but criminally under-attended) set from Third Mind on the main stage as the sun was going down. They brought out Steve Berlin from Los Lobos to add some bari sax on "The Creator Has a Master Plan" and a few others. What a great group of players. Too bad they played to a crowd of about 150 people in a meadow that could accommodate thousands. They're pros, though, and it was the highlight of my day.

All in all a great day, and not as hot as past years, but the huge main stage area was almost completely empty. It was great to have short lines for food and drink and things but, as reported, the promoters lost their shirts on this and that's too bad because the music and sound and vibe was fantastic. Lots of experienced folks who know how to get groovy all day without dying in the heat. Low wook factor and lots of smiles. Hope they can reset this festival and put something on in the future, even if they have to dial it down to a couple days or something.
