Hi Judit

Forums:

Thanks for asking about my wife. I didn't want to answer you in that other thread because of the negative nature of it.

(and yes, I'm well aware that I added to that, but.....)

In a nutshell, She is getting better by the day, but it's a slow process. Thankfully physical therapy comes out here a few times a week,

and that is a huge help. She is very determined to be out of the wheelchair and walking again; the PT's see that and

are happy because they work with a lot of people who don't care any more if they are able to walk, so that makes them

psyched because their job to help someone get better is actually working.

Anyway, we are doing as well as we can, at least she is home, that's the best part.

Thanks very much for keeping us in your thoughts, I'm convinced positive vibes help a lot!

Stay well in beautiful Oregon!!

Thanks for the update.

Better by the day is wonderful, and a trend to nurture and treasure. You and she have hope and that makes me very happy for both of you. (((❤️)))

The days here in Eugene are beautiful, but not like the west County, which always draws me to it. The breezes, glistening and sparkling water, trees, space. Perfect.

Local, I don't know you but I'm glad that you're wife is doing well.

I just saw the "Hi, Judit" title and wanted to stop by and say hi to Judit.

Hi, Judit. Hope you're doing well! Thank you as always for keeping this weird little sandbox kicking!!!

Thank you Javs. It's been a trying last 5 months, to be sure. Not much fun to be had between work, the hospital,

then the nursing home. We had to have visits through a closed locked door. I'm very grateful that part is over.

And yes I agree Judit, the Oregon coast is wonderful. I'm not that familiar with "your" coast, but when I was living in Trinidad in Humboldt

we would go up to the southern coast (Brookings, Gold Beach, etc). Just amazing.

I love where we live on the Marin coast but it does lack a little of that "mystical, magical" feeling/vibe I felt up there (for lack of a better term).

Fuck, now I REALLY want a road trip!

And I'll second Jav's emotion: Thanks to you and the other folks involved for keeping this going! It's been a fun ride.

Cheers and have a great day!

Hi Local, glad to hear the good news of steady progress.  Positive Vibrations!

good stuff.   One step at a time

keep the faith. And stay strong

and be kind

While the Oregon coast is beautiful, dramatic, wonderful, I love being on the Bluff in Bolinas even more. I first camped there in the summer of 1966. I was alone without a tent and was awakened by horses in the early morning - you know that sound of horses breathing next to your head? I didn't before then.

Do you know Orville S.? He has a house that my sister and her husband who is a friend of Orville's spend a lot of time at. It's perfect there for me and I could shelter in place there for years. Well, maybe except for the special heritage turkeys they were raising the last time I was there.

I've spent a little bit of time out on the Oregon coast (a decent amount, really) and a fair bit more out in Marin, as well. Point Reyes in particular is one of my favorite places in the planet.

You're both very lucky to live in such beautiful places! :)

I remember driving around in Marin a bunch back in the late 90's. I especially love Lucas Valley Road, Nicasio, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach...so many beautiful places!
