Hard Rock Casino Atlantic City

Forums:

Looks like Hard Rock International is making a big bet on the future of Atlantic City. Beside the total gutting and remodeling of the old Taj Mahal building, they have also done the same with the Ettis Arena, ripping out all the old seats and expanding it to almost 8,000 seats plus renovation the other room in that building as a 2,000 seat theater. The first bookings are heavy on Country but lots more announcements to come soon.

Maybe Trump will come back??

It's anyones guess how this will pan out.  Personally I don't put much stake into AC's revitalization.  I'd bet on a complete tear down, condo project to happen.

I think Hard Rock has the right idea about what will work in AC. Pump up the entertainment with many more shows, including shows mid-week, and the people will return. As for condos, if there isn't other things to do, like the way AC is now, nobody will purchase condos.

Had a blast there in '05 or '06 with Phil at the HOB. Good times!

December '05, Shadow of the Moon tour, great shows.  And one of my favorite posters.

I was there for Phil's 12/05 shows as well as plenty of other bands.  Atlantic City has lived a few lives already.. I don't think AC will ever be completely abandoned but I'm going to guess that her heyday has passed.

Wow, I don't remember seeing that. Nice!
