This is an active time of year for female turtles laying eggs. Great holiday!! And i did just see one on the edge of the road this afternoon. Was on a landscaping job in WI about 12 years ago and got to watch a female painted turtle dig a hole, lay her eggs and then cover them up. Absolutely could not tell the ground was disturbed when she was done. Just amazing!
