Howdy friends! Whatcha up to on this fine Saturday? It's my last day before I pick my kids up tomorrow from being with their dad all week. A splendid week of self discovery for this mama!

going to do a little shopping with my bestie's teen daughter today while my bestie is at work.. maybe go out tonight with some friends.. early to the beach tomorrow morning so I can get some time in the sand before getting the kids and making our trek back south..

good to be in jersey!!

Going to a benefit today.

Going to a benefit today. There's a group called "Heart and Soul" that brings music to shut-ins, folks in nursing home and hospitals, etc.

They close two blocks in a nice tree-shaded residential area and the groups that play are placed about every four houses or so and so ya just walk around and enjoy music.

Like a "Porchfest" that goes on in cities across America.

Different groups play at 4,5, and 6. It's free. The do a big raffle and get support that way. 80 for the high today, should be absolutely perfect (with a six-pack in the backpack).

Good morning gang!

Sure is beautiful out today, heading over to my brother's house in a few to hang out and we're going to the Cub's game tomorrow. My nephew Aaron who met Rizzo at Lurie's Children's Hospital is going, should be a great weekend. Hit up Chicago Blues Fest yesterday and had a blast. We saw the Cedric Burnside Project and jam session as well as Jarekus Singleton to name a few..
