Pretty decent weather for a 4th here in Seattle, There will be lots of folks out today, and lots of jarring explosions.
Last night someone got started at midnight with some really loud pipe bomb sounding explosions. As a kid I was into the fireworks, but these days, they're mostly just unnerving.
Whatever you do, have fun, stay safe, and take care of each other.
Going to watch Jaws 2, take a nap, and then go out later to see some live music at a block party. In the meantime, got an All American lineup on the turn table (no British bands).
>>>>Evidently one of the town's raffle prizes is an AR-15!
My mom won one of those raffles at my dad's Elks lodge in Florida. Ended up giving it to my brother in law. Llollo, if you don't end up going to the Gorge, we will be going to Grass Alley Jam in Kenton this evening for a bit. Sky Wagon is playing at 6:30. We are actually leaving Porter at home for a bit so we can have some people time. Text me if you want details. Porter hasn't reacted much to the booms that started at 8:00 am, so that is a good thing. Really think people should try to condition their dogs to not react to fireworks.
The Native Americans would like to take a moment during this day of celebrating with excessive air and noise pollution to remind us that our "Independence" cost their people dearly, up to and including today.
That aside, we are most definitely Interdependent and interconnected...

Old music friends who live in a tiny town w/ a 4th of July parade on the Columbia River gorge invited me to join, I appreciated the invite.
Evidently one of the town's raffle prizes is an AR-15!
Feels like enemy territory
Friends have come up w/ an act of resistance since they live on the parade route: We are going to set up amps and blast protest songs!
