I would've guessed 70.  

As far as I know, never dropped down to a baritone like a lot of older singers.

 

But I haven't heard him live in a while.

His voice is still pretty golden, from what I've heard over the last few years...  Such a real talent, one of the few who broke out well beyond New Orleans and became a worldwide thing.  Good for him. Sorry to see these guys passing on, one by one.
