HBD ol man, miss your band

Happy birthday!  I have picture with Jaimoe and my mom and one with all three of us.  Worked a show and he was so sweet.

Met him a few times, the first at Trinity College in Hartford way back at an early Derek Trucks Band show. 2nd song in I look to my left and standing right next to me and the wife all by himself, Jaimo. He lives in the town next to Hartford 10 mins away. We grooved together and shared some laughs between tunes. The last time was last summer at a local restaurant in my town The Painted Pony. He was there to see our friend Chris Tofield play and sat in for a few. Still got the chops.  A super mello gracious guy. The best

We are blessed in Ct. , as he moved here years ago, after meeting and marrying a woman from here . Ever since he moved here, he appears all over the place w tons of different jazz bands, his own band, and many others. I even got to see him play a private party in a friend of mines barn.

Hbd to a hall of fame drummer.

Edit: ^ tofield is awesome!

Tis true tis true, Ct is truly blessed.

Twas there back in the freewheeling days of my youth, I attended The Greatest rock and roll dance show that ever transpired in any galaxy  ---

The band  NRBQ ,  the place Beverly's on Bantam Lake waaaaay back in the day. Everyone dancing so hard the floor of this old wooden structure was heaving up and down about a foot. You couldn't stand still if you wanted to. I can still feel it even tho Beverly's is now torn down, its parking lot a boat launch for the lake.

And dont get me going on the Shaboo in Wilamantic where all the blues greats played, Koko, Cotton, Muddy, Willie, Buddy + Jr, Magic Slim, Sonny + Brownie, Pinetop , Duke Robillard,  fuck I miss those days at that place. Bit of a drive but once you got there you were home.

Thanks for helping me dust off the brain cobwebs jambone
