A great songwriter with a heart of gold Petty celebrated with his 100,000th concert at Red Rocks after considering doing it at The Gorge down by the river. Don't be denied all the great tunes he has written through the years, check out his greatest hits compilation. He's a sugar mountain of guitar riffs too. His stage presence is like a hurricane after the gold rush.
