Hüsky's Brand-New Sled Harness Arrived !!

Forums:

It's a beaut.  Seems to fit H.I.M. just right.  Tried it out yesterday on the trails around Dog Park; going out for the usual 5-mile trot right now.

Weirdly enough, Dog Park was (not closed) but WIDE OPEN.  They were changing out the chain-link fence, so it was just rails & no containment.

A few people showed up with their Large & Small dogs and we let them fraternize on leads or leashes, but how weird... frown

Anyway, the "Nooksack Racing" crewe up in Oxford Maine really sew up a nice product.  It's Green with fleece cushioning, and some reflective tape sewn on.

Film at eleven?  I hope so.  emv_0.JPG

What does Marijuana "Inspired" mean?

I dunno why an "Inspired" Vodka would be preferable to an "Infused" Vodka.

Yet another marketing gimmick.

Slides are on the way from the developer;  we did a typical 5-6 miles this late afternoon.  Hüsky is not quite adapted to the harness on the UTT, he is used to pulling the bike with just his collar.

OK you can see it's a Nice Green color w/ reflective tape sewn on.

Sweet blue-thread stitching.

The black stuff between the Green nylon webbing and dog fur is fleece padding, very cushy.

Anyway, I snapped those fotos as it was getting dark, after our run.  The reflective tape does its job (I had the flash on).  Really a nice piece of craftsmanship from that outfit in Oxford, Maine. Very competitive with their pricing as well.

Boy is super Stoked when I put the harness on.  He thinks he's going sledding w/ the 4-5 Dawg team.  It's a lotta work getting H.I.M. adapted from the last year or so of pulling the bike from the side -> running out front.  Many changes from learned behavior.

ize hassez eh teh his.

So cute We have a new doggie here, another rescue special on her 4th home (that I know of, and including one or more abusive homes in her earliest days). She's a high-energy girl, and the dog sitter where she stayed for 5 weeks, used to take her out running on his bicycle. I bet she would love to do that but I'm nervous about trying it, probably will wait until we've been together a little longer.

BrightDay,

If your new Dog is pretty good on-leash, and stops or turns with voice commands,  try "Cycleash" for bikes.  eBay seems to have the best deals. Dog runs beside the cyclist, and there's a thick bungee cord for shock absorber.  Works Great !!  They have their own website w/ videos.

Here's a couple fotos of "Cycleash".

The metal block bolts on the seatpost, and you can attach Dog either left or right side.

I've since moved the block/clamp thing to the head tube near the front wheel, but seat-post is really better. The big bungee cord makes it more squirrel-proof.

Good doggy

Can I pet your dog? Does he bite?

I brought a lil snack for H.I.M.
