He got a postcard in the mailbox. They say "it's been a Year, come on in for a no-cost Veterinary exam."
This is 'Banfield' who are the in-house resident Veterinary corp. at 'PetSmart'. They also offered big sale on Flea medicine, but he's already got that.
He went in last year, and the nice Veterinarians mostly just petted H.I.M. and scratched his fuzzy belly.
They said he was the healthiest Dawg they'd seen in a while.
So I made an appointment, but it seems a bit silly. There's nothing wrong with H.I.M. and he doesn't need any medication.
He's all stocked up on HeartGard + and the Flea stuff, but never gets Fleas.
So any suggestions while he's in there? Should I get a prescription for Canine Cannabis, or anxiety medication ?
He seems really well-adjusted and Healthy.

Why don’t you call and ask
Why don’t you call and ask them what the purpose of the annual checkup is?
Dogs do get more vaccines than just the heart worm and flea pills.

I would recommend for dogs in pain and dogs that are a pain
Canine Cannabis jokes: Go
He forgets which territory he marked already
He now wears sunglasses for daily walk
He likes toilet water in his bongs
His favorite strain is Dogs Gift (Dogs Ass X Bones in the garbage)
He spends to much time on Dogbook

My friend is using our cannabis salve for his dog's seizures. Says it keeps them under control better than the meds he gets from the vet.

The Vet in charge there (last
The Vet in charge there (last year, don't know if she's still there) was not a big vaccine-pusher. Her approach was basically "If you have a healthy Dog, avoid a lot of prescription drugs..." He's covered for Rabies, although his risk of exposure is extremely minimal. That one is mandatory, so he gets it. I definitely observed some adverse symptoms after his last rabies shot, nothing too crazy or long-lasting though.
More like it subtly affected his energy level and general mood for about a day. He was panting a bit and acted sluggish. Because we have a pretty consistent routine of diet, exercise, sleep, leash training, I notice any behaviorial anomalies. His 'HeartGard Plus' also seems to slow the dog down for a day. I really prefer NOT giving any pesticides or other toxic chemicals.
He's had the Bordetella, Distemper, Parvo jabs during his week in the Shelter. Those, I choose not to titrate, and he doesn't stay in kennels where they want to see a recent cert. of the "kennel cough" shot (Bordetella).

That site hasn't been updated in a while, but has some interesting topics re: Parvo vaccines.
