Guinness you get in the States tastes like water. Now the Export Stout you find in the Caribbean is some good stuff and usually the best beer you can find in those parts. One time when I was staying at a place on Eleuthera, I think we bought out ever bottle on the island.
We have a friend from England who is a bit older than us and when she was pregnant back in the late 60s, her doctor prescribed a pint of Guinness a day to keep her iron levels up.
Murphy's is $1.50/can at Trader Joe's. So smooth, it goes down a bit too quickly, IMHO (if that's possible on a Saturday Night). Imported (made in Edinburgh, Scotland - obviously not made in Ireland, but could be from a less desirable origin).

^This Guinness is apparently made in Dublin and it's $1.50 at Trader Joe's as well, though it's a small 11.2 oz pour. A bit more flavour, though.

Just came back from a St.
Just came back from a St. Patty Day's concert (Larry Kirwin). On the way home people were all fucked driving.
Don't drink and drive.
Crawl home if you have to.
Happy St. Patty's Day!
