Things got a little out of hand at the Little League game:

The kid who was umpiring got invited to get the line-up cards before the Rockies game last night.  Seems like a good dude, must've been tough dealing with these whack-job parents.

I coached Pop Warner football for 10 years. Parent are fucked.

I was threatened to have my ass kicked on the field not once but twice.

I had a death threat on my vehicle once.

I had a Mom and Dad want to give me $500 so their lazy assed 8th grader could get more playing time.

I had a father piss, yes piss, on 2 other players that were making fun of his son. Cops were called.

In the mid eighties a friend/neighbor and I would umpire softball games for the 8-10 year olds.

When we were attacked by one of the coaches because his daughter would not stop stealing bases, in a no stealing league, after every pitch I hung up my counter. The guy charged & swung at me. I was 13, physically much bigger than him and even though I tucked his head and pushed him passed me, I knew that the pent up dad strength would have taken me out if some of the parents hadn't stepped in.

Completely reprehensible but nothing new.

pissed on?

One of the reasons my wife wanted to move to the other side of El Camino was to change little leagues

The “blue-collar “ parents were little bit over the top and too much for her

And I never should’ve expressed frustration with my son for getting thrown out stealing second base during an All-Star game

lesson learned?

I did coach at least a dozen times in various sports for my five kids - Other parent/dads didn’t always step up - Even when I was pretty sick from Cancer treatment
