Growing potatoes in containers - any tips?

Never really had luck growing potatoes in the garden so trying (Smart) pots this year.

I did the basic research.

Any tips or tricks that have been especially successful for you?

Actually I've done well using Bushel baskets and even alongside Raised beds.  You get them going,  and then keep topping off with well-aged compost / soil as the shoots grow skyward.

You could use a plastic barrel but drill 1" holes in the side (I've heard).

Never gotten Giant spuds but many Flavorful small ones.
