I recently tried the new pots for the first time also turts, and liked it alot more than i thought i would. today's oil is much much different than the brown goo i tried dabbing from a red hot titanium nail just 5 or 6 years ago. the type of extract i have been gravitating towards is called sugar, or sauce, and sugar is when the thca crystalizes to form a gooey sugar type texture. this only happens trough negelect, or because the terpene levels are very high, and its easy to tell the difference. if the terpene levels are high enough, when the thca sugars, a thin, runny, clear liquid is left on top that is super rich in terpenes, and when presented mixed with the thca fraction in natural proportions is known as sauce.

when taking very small dabs from a low temp quartz nail there is SOOOOO much flavor happening with some of these. imo i have learned more about cannabis terpenes and its aromas from dabbing top shelf oil than i have since i first learned how to grow, harvest, dry and cure herb.

btw turts are u still in LA? check out @secretsesh_la on insta if you want to go pick up fancy herb without the custie prices. this is the new fad amongst the mega stoners...the "sesh" its basically a trade show where you can buy weed that happens all the time...the bay has 5 or 6, sac has 3 or 4, i bet LA has more that i dont know about'

buddy gave me a dab that was his oil + a separate bottle of terpenes to dip in, then rolled the mix in cbd sugar.

ps another friend was at that chalice thing and said 80% of entries tested positive for pesticide...(he did say that the lab used was also problematic...but...)

most of what's produced commercially is complete garbage. there's def the few honest companies growing and extracting properly, but far and few between for sure. i believe steep hill labs said about 85% of what they test in california fails for pesticides. using that flower for extracts makes it even worse. 

I've seen a LA area news report that something of the magnitude of 44 out of 49 samples (of both flowers and concentrates) tested by Steep Hill Labs from LA area dispensaries had pesticide counts that would have made the product banned in all other legal states. At least one of the concentrate companies released a statement and showed results from SC Lab that came back free of pesticides and had the proof. Sounds like testing in CA is shitty and inconsistent, with some labs accused of being tied to certain commercial cannabis endevours and therefore 'cooking' the tests, as it were. Drugs...

I've got some pesticide ridden Ray Charles and Headband Haze from the drive through CO a week 1/2 ago, along with some pesticide ridden Loctite and Glue Face from CA. I've also got some pesticide concentrated oil cartidges for hitting the beach.
