There sure were some clunkers
There sure were some clunkers in precoma 86. According to his book, Phil quit drugs in order to have a kid early in the year. So Phil was sober and getting laid. Jerry on the other hand wasn't looking too good. Still, the multi-run shows at the Kaiser in Feb (I think 5 nights) were very fun. If you lived in the Bay area, two months later you could see 4 more shows at BCT, then a month later 2 at Cal Expo and 2 and the Frost, and the next month 3 at the Greek --- 16 shows in six months; all without "touring."
