Grass Valley drug lab explosion

Forums:

A honey oil lab, also known as a hash oil lab, produces a form of purified marijuana that is extracted from the plants. Authorities say the butane used to make the oil is highly flammable and volatile, and these labs can easily explode.

Three people, including two children, were injured Monday night when an illegal drug lab inside a Grass Valley home exploded, lifting the roof of the second-floor apartment and blowing doors off their hinges, police said.

Police said Monday’s explosion was severe enough that part of the roof was lifted off the structure and several interior walls were damaged. The apartment where the explosion occurred and the those apartments adjacent have been deemed “structurally unsafe,” according to the news release.

Well, that was pretty dumb.

There was hash operation that blew up in my neighborhood.  Leveled the house, killed two people, sent debris flying into a park, and caused serious damage up and down the block.

Butane is safe for people with half a brain.  Butane is severely dangerous to a square block when morons are handling it.

Haven't checked in a bit but as of last year the butane content hovering over CO was at a toxic level.

Solvent less is the way most should go.

Bet the neighbors are pretty happy.

Hydrocarbon soaked shit isn't weed. Nor is hurting children. That's not a part of it. It's just someone's stupid selfish grabby hustle. Fuck 'em.

The end.

When taking a quick dubee break at work goes wrong

A little dab lab will do you.

With that amount of damage, they sound lucky to have survived.

BSS --- push out affordable slabs of press and send lbs all day long.   The residual in a correctly purged system is safer than breathing the air in LA.

I know how the thing works Jonas.

$50k worth of stainless steel and pumps and ovens and government licensing still doesn't make BHO not trash.

I maintain that explosion mitigation just isn't part of it. like you said - solventless.

solventless is more.

Never let a Bozo and a blowtorch occupy the same space.
