Grandfather's recipes

Forums:

I don't have any.

Grandfathers or recipes?

From what I see the next generation will have plenty of grandad recipes and not so many grandmom recipes. Personally I love to cook so I'll be passing on a bunch myself.

Wow, thanks for the flashback Slack. My grandfather used to make his own kind of mac & cheese with ground beef. It doesn't sound like much, but something about the way he seasoned the ground beef made it my favorite meal when I was a kid. Unfortunately, he passed away unexpectedly in 1978 & the recipe went with him. I can practically taste it now.

My Grand Father made Rum in Puerto Rico before I knew him.

But did have Pitorro. Also known as ron caña (cane rum) or ron cañita.

Which is just distilled moonshine, made from sugarcane ~

Oh.  Thought this was about that girl and the cookies.

Carry on.

Just made his beef rib soup

beef ribs

broth and water

large whole onion - take out when done cooking

whole potatoes

i cook it for a day before I eat it, place in the fridge and take the grease off of the top the second day, cook until potatoes break up and thicken the soup, some times I will throw in some cooked noodles too.

Gotta love the, turn off oven, at the end Druba

Men need to be told to turn off the oven at the end of a recipe.

Hence the Name....

Men and Women equally forget to turn off the oven.  It's the stoners that need the reminding ...

I always turn the timer on.
