Graceland and How Will the Wolf Survive

Forums:

What are your least favorite songs on these albums?

Any song off these makes me want to hear the whole albums.

Los Lobos got screwed over by Paul Simon for their contributions to "Graceland" so I say fuck that album.. "How Will The Wolf Survive" all the way!!!!

Steve Berlin (who is not a member of Los Lobos feels he got screwed)

But the album won Grammys and gave World Wide recogntion for the band from LA who hardly knew Paul.

I wore Graceland out and walked my resume into Hit Factory in NYC in hopes of interning under Phil Ramone.

Wall to wall Platinum Records on the Wall..

The song "Will the Wolf Survive" , I am now realizing, this is as good as an American Rock Song ever written.

Boom. First pitch and Los Lobos hit one out of the ball park. Epic stuff.

Los Lobos opened with it 2 weeks back. Unbelievable.

I would die for Cesar Rojas.  He rules!

He’s not a member of Los Lobos?

You should tell them so they can fix their website.  He’s the second person they list as a current member of the band.

No. The web master position is open right now and is updated by a family member.

Steve Berlin has not been on tour with Los Lobos for over 3 years now and gets paid royalties, but not as a member and is back in The Blasters.

Not too much of the Los Lobos repertoire requires a Sax..

>>>>>No. The web master position is open right now

You should apply.

>>Steve Berlin has not been on tour with Los Lobos for over 3 years

so you're telling me that wasn't Steve on stage when I saw them a few months ago?

Yes and in 2017, 2016, and 2015 as well

Steve Berlin played some solo show in 2017 out west but not as a touring member since 2014

2013 in Prospect park was his last NY area show

Tim I should but

I failed as a web master 1999-2003

My domain was being continuously hacked by Chinese contingencies of the Taiwanese I was representing.

Which was a learning curve...

What are the Los Lobos songs that showcase Steve Berlin and his Saxophone again?

Steve Berlin get paid royalties and is not a paid touring member of Los Lobos.

His monetization is relative ti his input in that band..

He is not a touring member and paid by gig.

Has not been in the NY area since 2014

He is a producer looking for acts here in NJ & on tour w/The Blasters

>>>>Steve Berlin has not been on tour with Los Lobos for over 3 years now

that's not true

>>>>Has not been in the NY area since 2014

He’s on this recording from 2017 in DC

Your attempted switch from he’s not a member to not a touring member doesn’t seem to be going too well.

Hmm.  I've seen Los Lobos w/o Cesar, but never w/o Steve.

Bluelight being wrong about Steve Berlin has me wondering if Susan from YouTube even exists.

Probably true, I will go with that one

Saw Los Lobos in Florida with Steve Berlin on tour in 2016.

Me too at the paramount in Huntington, nice photos I myself posted confirm this.

False alarm.

Steve Berlin played with them at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass last month.

I saw them last month , and David Hildago said Steve wasn't there because he was having back issues ... I had never seen them without Steve , though I have seen them without Caesar ...

There is no question he is a member of the band - I've been seeing them regularly since '84 or so , and Steve has always has been there (including the past few years) . He's supposed to be a member of the reunited Flesheater's with Dave Alvin and John Doe as well ...

Weird, I've always seen them with Steve, but last time Caesar was missing.
