Gov't Mule to Headline Great South Bay Music Festival 7/15/2017.
I'm just digesting this now, The Great South Bay Music Festival was a small festival (sponsored by a local head shop here), then a medium size festival hosting Electric Hot Tuna last year.
It's 6 miles from me here and right on the water (Great South Bay) and a little larger this year and Gov't Mule with real amplifiers is to headline Satyrday 7/15
Looking forward to the pre-game BBQ!

It's a cool little festival.
It's a cool little festival. No camping tho. I saw Mickey jam there a bunch of years ago. It's sorta a carnival with a music stage. We had a great time. I'm not psyched about this yrs lineup so no spot taken.

The band I want to see the most that day is Aztec Two Step. I know that are older now, but they have a great acoustic sound.

This festival is this weekend
This festival is this weekend and I am having an impacted wisdom tooth removed (yanked out) tomorrow. I feel like shit
I have a ticket for Saturday and I am told, once you are in the festival grounds, you can not leave. I wanted to see the Zen Tricksters in the afternoon, leave, and come back at night for G Love & Gov't Mule,
I have a date with a BBQ grill for the family Saturday. I am going to hit the festival at night, for the final 2 acts.
Now, Friday night, the Wailers are playing at 8pm, and I want to go badly, but haven't grabbed a ticket yet. I have my pain to deal with and I'm playing it by ear/tooth.
I've never been to this festival, but it's big deal now here on Long Island

Solid Gov't Mule show tonight
Solid Gov't Mule show tonight at the GSBMF. Flawless
Way too crowded for my taste for the Mule set.
Great Mule tunes, with the newer songs off the new CD (that they did not have there for sale) thrown in.
I nice tribute to the late Johnny Winter with help from G.Love on blues harp for a ripping version of "Good Morning Little School Girl".
A lot of Johnny Winter fans on LI were brought to tears. I was.
After the Mule Army got there fill, Warren stretched out the show with playing some Allman Brother tunes, Waisted Words, Dreams, and encored with Soulshine.
Hard rocking set. I think I'll see Gov't Mule again.

Great time last night. I looked for you Bluelight, I even confused a gentleman when I asked if he was Bluelight.. You seem to like good music, we need to get you on our house concert invite list. And that goes for any other local vivalaphillipes...
Bands were all on fire. I was hoping warren would fuck up , but as always he is like a robot with alot of soul. Love how he brings it up and down like Joplin. One minute it's soft, the next its an electric flawless explosion.
Guy at the Space at Westbury booth gave my wife and I 3 pairs of tickets to Robert Randolph, Cracker/Soul Asylum, and Gene Ween plays Billy Joel! Also nice, my family was watching our young trailitos so we could have adult time!
