Just a short little par 3 Doolittle, a little over 100 yards.
A guy on the next hole saw it, and literally a minute later the club pro happens to pull up in a cart, with my friends daughter, who was late.
We are still standing on the tee. I say Bruce, I just made a hole in one. He thought it was an April Fools joke.

Congrats county line, I got my first one in December, first round in my new city. To top it off I was playing with my new son in law's brother who is a loud mouth, and half my age. He totally fell apart after it and I kicked his ass. 126 yard blind hole, so I did not see it go in until we pulled up on the green and did not see the ball, I knew it was in the cup. I bought him lunch

My buddy did concrete work
My buddy did concrete work repairing cart paths and eventually made the board of directors at a good golf course by my old house. Traded work for free golf.We also went to dead related shows, Earl has met him before at a few shows. I had a sweet run of about 4-5 years playing with him where I hardly ever had to pay. We also had the first tee time reserved for Saturday's and Sundays.
my son in law has a Family Friend who got us on one of the better courses here in Ft Myers for free. He works as a ranger there and says he can get me a job there. I am tempted but may wait a couple years for that gig for when I retire.

In honor of LCL’s hole-in-one, I will now take the time to type out probably the best golf joke I’ve heard.
A woman rushed into the clubhouse asking about getting on as a single.
“I’m here in town on business and I have time before my flight tonight to squeeze in a round. Any chance of getting on?”
“Well, there’s three guys on the tee now. They’d probably let you join them.”
The woman rushed out and the men agreed to let her complete the group.
The men were three generations of family: a father, his father, and his son.
Before starting the woman piped up and said, ”Look, I know guys are prone to giving women golfers advice all the time, but please, just keep it to yourself. Let me play.”
The men agreed.
Turns out the woman is shooting the round of her life.
On the 18th hole, she turns to the men and says, “Look, I know I told you to not give me any advice, but I’ve never shot a round like this before. If I make this 12 foot putt, I’ll shoot par for the first time in my life. So, whoever can give me the best advice on how to sink this putt, I’ll give you 2 hours of the best nookie you’ve even had.”
“Well!” replied the men upon hearing that.
The kid in his 20’s steps up and says “I think you hit it just about 5 inches to the right and it will curve right in. What do you think dad?”
“I think you have all wrong” said the father. “I think you need to hit it about 3 inches to the left and that thing will drop right in. What do you think Grandpa?”
Grandpa stepped up. “What do I think? I think I’m surprised at you boys.”
He walked over, picked up the ball and threw it to the woman saying “That’s a gimme!”
The wisdom of age.

nice, my uncle hit one when i was in 8th grade & golfing with him
he would take me golfing some days during summer break
straight shot towards green hit and bounced..then rolled
we didnt realize til we couldnt find ball and found his (which he always wrote "mine" on) in the cup
was a cool moment

I worked at a golf course in HS, Got fired because I told this older bullshitter guy who I worked with whom smoked weed with me and told me all kinds of BS which I didn't believe that I was dosed and couldn't work.Next day I was fired. FUCK THAT PRICK!
And he would smoke his weed with me.
Though the Golf Pro did say to come back in the future because he liked me,. I was a hard worker. Hopefully they fired his ass!

Thanks for the congratulations and stories folks! It was a hoot.
My dad was a golfing fiend who (thankfully for me) belonged to a nice club while I was growing up, and introduced the game to me.
He passed away about 12 years ago without ever getting a hole in one after golfing his whole life, so that one kind of felt like it was for him...
