Who knew there was a weak and a strong form of the bow knot?  I didn't until I watched this video.  My shoes never come untied now unless I untie them.  No double knots, no nothin.  Just using the strong form of the bow knot.  It works on all types of laces.  Give it a try.

I think there’s a pretty big contingency of Zoners that have Velcro shoe fasteners.  It’s safer that way.

I saw this 7 years ago and tried it. My shoes seemingly came untied at the same frequency.

The Surgeon’s Knot is the way to go.

I have been using this method for 3 years or so with great success.  Not the Surgeon's Knot, but the strong Bow Knot.
