A good thing that has come from the pandemic

Forums:

Lemonade out of lemons. Silver linings. Etc. After a forced, but for good reason, livelihood hiatus, I am finally getting busy again. One of the joys of my job is that besides headliners that most people know, I get to see and hear a lot of fairly unknown musical acts who are openers for the bigger acts. Some are ok, some are pretty good and some blow me away. It's the luck of the draw and I appreciate headliners who bring somebody along on tour that cook. Of course, sometimes an opening act is someone that the promoter can get on the cheap. Regardless of how these performers rate on my personal scale, there is one HUGE thing that I've noticed as I've gotten to photograph more. That thing is it is obvious that most of the acts have rehearsed a lot while off stage and it shows. I've been amazed on how tight some of these bands are am very happy, as well as many in the audience.

Even when I was just going to shows as a civilian, I always made it a point to catch the opening acts. You never know which one of those acts will be the next mega-star.

Oops, thought this was a "lots of dead republicans" thread

Congrats on reemerging (i'm still figuring out how)

I enjoyed the lack of mass shootings throughout the pandemic

Amazing. I just finished up a two day festival and every band was tight. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
