One-Trick Pony, Paul Simon's fifth solo studio album, was released in 1980. It was Simon's first album for Warner Bros. Records, and his first new studio album since 1975's Still Crazy After All These Years. His back catalog from Columbia Records would also move to Warner Bros. as a result of his signing with the label.
Paul Simon's One-Trick Pony was released concurrently with the film of the same name, in which Simon also starred. Despite their similarities, the album and film are musically distinct.
Hey kids- thanks for the greetings, Jaz, Judit and Floops.
As I said in an earlier thread that seems to have mysteriously disappeared , it's nice to see some of the old-school Zoners still bangin' heads- in love, of course, including Sixer and Hoover.
I fell into extreme love a year and a half ago, and found myself NOT sitting around the computer as much in days gone by. My Annie is an incredibly beautiful and world class artist who's work can be seen here https://www.facebook.com/anneanderssonartstudio/, for those FBer's who might be curious. I can tell you her pieces are gorgeous and insanely labor intensive- no one does what she does. She's even been chosen to do a one-day event at St. Petersburg's venerable Dali Museum next month. Truly the love of my life, which is something you can't create or conjure- "better late than never", as I'm far from a spring chicken at a whoppin' 64 these days. I've carefully maintained extreme immaturity for my age, however.
Just truly happy to be alive these days, and wish nothin' but the best to all who post here.
PS Found out today I got a reasonably priced ticket to DeadCo in Orlando (can't resist its so convenient) if anyone else is hittin' that one. Skyboy?
Well, thanks for asking, but having grown up in Sweden, the only two sports she's remotely familiar with are hockey and soccer, and isn't passionate about them. She once described NFL football as "grown men- pushing each other around- in tights". Took her to a Rays game once and for her it was like me trying to understand Swedish- hopeless.
However- I've been lovin' watching the Lightning this season- ROCKIN' team... hope they can stay healthy- chance to win it, fer' sher'.
