>"It was reckless, I offended people, and I am deeply sorry for my choice of words," Mickelson said in February, after he was quoted discussing why he was embracing the new golf series despite the Saudi regime's well-known human rights violations.

But on Monday, Mickelson confirmed he would play in this week's LIV event, risking the wrath of the PGA. With the threat of sanctions looming, Johnson and other players resigned from the PGA Tour.

I don't keep up with golf.  Is Phil M. the degenerate gambler or the tax-cheat/wife-beater?

He did an AmEx card spot, no?

Pretty similar as the U.S. routinely ignoring the Saudi's B.S. for, ya know, OIL?

...and nobody gets hurt as long as the dollar remains the trading currency for said oil.

Word is that Mickelson is getting a 300 million payday simply for playing this tournament. If he plays well, prize money is additional.

Not bad for a few rounds of golf.

PGA's corporate control and impractical policies to monopolize and control the golfers is obnoxious and not practical.

Sure does fill their bank accounts though. Nature finds a way and right now it's the LIV.

Norman suggested a World Golf Tour twenty years ago, and was not at all treated nicely by the PGA.

Now he's the President of LIV. Payback's a bitch.

The PGA in their quest to be woke and cool backed out of two Trump courses.

Including the PGA Championship, which Jack Nicholas even said was wrong.

Now 2/8 LIV events I believe wil be played on Trump courses.

Nature finds a way. Payback's a bitch.

I worked in pro golf and was never gung ho about the tour and the golf companies and "the game" they play.

Really? Every single *7^%^& year new equipment? mmmm kay.

It's hard to describe the "sleaze" around the tour and the high school musical cliquey nature of things.

Always like the Euro Tour which is nicely low key and more organic if that make sense.

Gave up on the PGA a long long time ago, Monyhan has put the nail in the coffin.

Watching the demise of the PGA Tour under his command is a bit of a pleasure.

Maybe he can cry on Katie's shoulder.

He's an idiot.

Fuck all the golfers who play for Saudi blood money (Khashoggi - 9/11)

Fuck the PGA and their yuppie upper crust whites only (for the longest time)  game, and fuck anyone who watches it.

And lets not forget,  Fuck that fuck tiger woods

Fuck all the golfers who play for Saudi blood money (Khashoggi - 9/11)<<<<

Perhaps the PGA golfers should pick a day and all players use only one arm; in protest of how Khashoggi's limbs were brutally dismembered.

>Fuck all the golfers who play for Saudi blood money (Khashoggi - 9/11)

Fuck the PGA and their yuppie upper crust whites only (for the longest time) game, and fuck anyone who watches<

Fuck golf. All those golf courses are perfect for high density housing.

Just another red herring, Slack?

Or are you making a comment regarding the US/Saudi relationship

You excel at saying nothing so I'd wager it's the former

And it is already sparking outrage, with Khashoggi's fiancée, Hatice Cengiz, accusing Biden of losing his moral compass.

"President Biden's decision to meet MBS is horribly upsetting to me and supporters of freedom and justice everywhere," she said in a statement to CNN.

A human rights defender in Washington close to the administration, who was also a close friend of Khashoggi's, told CNN that he believes moving on and doing nothing more to hold MBS accountable for Khashoggi's killing will deal a huge blow to the prince's opposition and Arab dissidents around the world.

"The promise of accountability was the only check on this guy [MBS], now it's gone," he said. "When the President of the US goes to this murderer's hometown to appease him, he's not only glossing over his past heinous crimes with stunning impunity but enabling his future ones. It's a wink-wink nudge-nudge to commit the next crime in a cleaner, less messy fashion."

^yep, terrible decision and unconscionable.

Glad it wasn't another red herring from you.

Fwiw... my statement regarding high density housing is serious, with a tiny pinch of trolling.
