Saturday night July 31, 1971, the Grateful Dead played the Yale Bowl. Some fans without tickets wanted to crash it causing a near riot where tear gas was used to quell the morons, forcing the cancellation of the remaining Summer Pops Concerts, including the following week's scheduled Who concert.  :(
