Go Team Phil!

Forums:

Looks like our fearless leader put on the best of last night's Halloween shows.  Phish just seemed longwinded and over contrived, and Dead & Co. looked like it was running on fumes without Billy the drummer.   Meanwhile, Phil looked radiant and in great form.  Kudos to Phil for bringing the wyrd.

The Mayer co folks are gushing today about last night..."show of the decade" type talk... sounds like attendance bias to me

It's like we've reverted back to the year 2000. I was at HJK with P&F that NYE, while a bunch of folks were at the TOO show at the Oakland Coliseum.

Pretty sure I was at Cheese in Portland that yr.

It's fairly clear that Phil is still delivering... like to see again soon.
ps. Give my drummer back.

all these other act shows were close to me but have no desire to do so.

negative nancy here, and only an opinion

Dread and slow sucks- i turn them off every time I hear them, and chos to be a an angry old man...

nostalgia "act" with far less talent, that many get off on - or into

Phil is God  ( almighty when with the Q)

just a r / wish Phil at TXR soonish

also slow and no go NEEDS Molo

I can never hear him.

I Was Very Impressed With PHIL The Entire Capitol Run = Job Well Done.

DeadCo delivered big in LA this weekend. Great shows.

We have survived my sisters and brothers. Long may we rock.

Woz

Predictable

shill

I get that we love the songs and love the lyrics and love the memories

that's not good enough if the musicians don't get it

People are just desperate

that's not good enough if the musicians don't get it

Chimenti doesn't get it.

>>>Woz ... Predictable... shill<<<

Wow.

That's uncalled for.

But predictable.

Ty judge lance

i like woz, he is a really good guy

i enjoy him

And he  be constantly expresses his love love of love and co

And I constantly disagree

I probably can handle one show a year

It was fun seeing the Q again, with Q faves such as; She Said, Low Spark, Night of 1000 stars, Broken Arrow, Acadian Driftwood, Wayfaring Stranger, Angel Band, Sunshine of your love, Celebration, Lucy in the sky w/ Diamonds, I am the Walrus, Patchwork Quilt, etc...

Then the next 3 shows had; Atlantic City, The Stranger (Two Souls in Communion), Ophelia, Caledonia Mission, Rag Mama Rag, etc

Then for Halloween;  How Sweet it is, Keep you lamp trimmed and burning, River Deep / Mountain high

Then there was Billy at Red Rocks;  Thunder, Ain't no Bread in the Breadbox, Positively 4th Street, Sitting in Limbo, Wake up Little Suzie, My Sisters and Brothers, Join Together, That's what love will make you do...

But Dead and Co are still basically a nostalgia band, not really doing any adjustments w/ the song list...  They're much better this year, but never venture into other material like Billy and Phil do...  if only we could get the 2 to play together again, sometime (sigh)

(is Phil grabbing Billy's tit?)

DeadCo did bring it in LA and Chula Vista was also good. Halloween was exceptionally good IMO. I don't get this "versus" deal. They certainly weren't The Q but The Q and Phil for that matter are not really "touring bands" so I take what I can get and GTTS when I can and have fun and enjoy the music.

You are talking to a crew that grew up on "duck season, rabbit season"..what do you expect

It is vital that we treat everyone with respect and honor our differences without pushing our ideals on someone else."

all music is a gift, there is no contest. Right on mark!

if only we could get the 2 to play together again, sometime (sigh)<<<<<<

Next year is the 50th anniversary of the Europe 72 Tour.  Phil was highly complimentary of Billy's playing on that tour in Blair Jackson's Garcia biography.  Maybe they could just go back to having a Bozo Bus and a Bolo Bus and get on with the show?

billy's tit ain't that high up?

Jer was Leo: heart of the band

phil is the pisces: the soul

billy is earth: backbone rhythm

bob, libra:  the pretty one

that's all i need to know

i do love that phil is in the pic behind them
