Golden Gate Wingmen End Northeast Run In Stroudsburg: By Suzy Perler
On Saturday night, Golden Gate Wingmen featuring guitarist John Kadlecik (Furthur/John K. Band), bassist Reed Mathis (Electric Beethoven/Billy & The Kids), drummer Jay Lane (Primus/Electric Beethoven) and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti (Dead & Company) concluded a brief Northeast Tour with a show at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. The group mixed Grateful Dead classics including “Shakedown Street” and “Terrapin Station” with band member originals and a handful of choice covers such as Bob Dylan’s “When I Paint My Masterpiece”.
Spoke too soon, couldn't take JK singing Throwing Stones, had to cut it off there. But even the lame Dinosaur song in the middle of Dark Star (presumaby someone's "original"?) is better than hearing JRAD try to "sing" such classics as Candyman, Loose Lucy, Ramble on Rose, Tennessee Jed, etc . . .
Hey Bob; when did vocals become an important criteria for judging GD music? Musically, JRAD blows these guys to shreds...........and isn't that what it's all about?

Saw them last week at Irving Plaza.
Fun show! It had its moments but overall a good time band.
DJ Logic also sat in most of the night which added another level to this band.
Good stuff!
