i saw pfunk a few years back
i saw pfunk a few years back during the brainfeeder tour with thundercat, shabazz palaces and flylo...the music was disjointed and utterly chaotic, like 10 or 15 people just all playing in the same key and timing but they cant really hear each other, overlayed with clinton and 3 or 4 other random people just yelling and shouting super cliche funk/hip hop phrases. i love pfunks albums and listen often, but i find the modern day approach confusing.

Hoover and I Saw miss velvet and the blue wolf open for p. Funk in SLO last year.
they sound as laughable as their name.
if u think modern day P. Funk is a confusing mess, stay the hell away from that band.
they should b touring with Greta Von fleet or, at best, b a casino small room regional act.
i enjoy the current incarnation of p.funk for what they're worth and fishbone is pretty badass.
i will consider the Lincoln show

E ~ thanks for the heads up on Miss Velvet. Her sister was on my radar a few years ago when she played the CBGB festival. Saw here in a tiny basement club in NYC and she rocked. Soon after that she went the electronica route. Interesting back story on the two of them surviving a plane crash that killed everyone else, including their father, who were on the plane. The oft used phrase, survivors is very apt in this case.
