Garcia Peoples

Forums:

Opening for Phil on Halloween night. Great news for these guys, they've earned it. Expecting mixed reviews but for people who like guitar music, you'll enjoy this band.

So good. I need to order Dodging Dues next Friday.

That band sucks.  Jerry wants his name back.

I'll bite;

Did a quick search, now listening to this;

Sounds pretty good. Not what I was expecting.

HA!  As always, Fitzman telling it like he sees it.

I would recommend Marble Eyes, opening for Phil on Friday.  Great players in this new, fresh band,

pre-shows at Garcia's, starts around 6 or 6:30

Marble Eyes on 29th
Deadgrass on 30th
Garcia Peoples on 31st

lol, what funny logic.

Marble Eyes (jam band made up of members of several cover bands, "new" and "fresh") ✓
Deadgrass (acoustic Jerry Garcia cover band) ✓
Garcia Peoples (band of young dudes playing original music) ✕✕✕ H̸̢̧̬̻̬̺̤͂̏̂͐́͋́̓̕̕͠A̴̧̰̠̞̘͓͔̺̬̍̑̕T̷̥͆̐̾̄͝Ê̸̬̍̔͌̋̚ ̴̡̡͕̯̻̦̜̜̪̘̉T̵̳̘̹̓̅̊̄̐̂̌̕͜͝O̷̮̿̅̉͆̓̿̏̕ ̴̛͇̰̮̩̜̣͚̫̬͖͎̔͆̔̒̓̕͝S̶̠̽̅̕͠͠Ȅ̴̢̮̱̹͙͍͕͊̄͊͆̈Ę̶̧̨̬̪͚̱̞̤̔̅̓ ̵͓͍̹̪̪̝̅̽̽̄͠Ĭ̶̱͔̘̤̖̤̗̤͎̱̆̾͂͋͑̂̃̽͝͝T̴̡̞́͗͗̓̃̇̌̃͊̄,̵̺̹̭̙̣͓̖̈́͛̐̕ ̷̛̺̪͆͊͆̈́̐̾̎̌̚K̷͍̅̈̓̈͝I̶̙̯̤̩̠̋̄̆̈̂̅͌̄̿L̵̥̘̼̣̼̭͓͉͔̰̑͒̉Ľ̷̢̤̱͚̼̺͇͇̯̽̚ͅ ̸͚͉͉̦͔̞̱̊̌͛̓͜Í̸̢̨̤͎̣͔̠̝͕̩̐̕͝͝T̸̛̥̼͍͖̥̞̙͍͇̣̂̐̑́͋̄͂̈́̿ ̸̼̗̜́͋́͊̿͒̅̕̚͝͝W̴͈̺̎̓̀͆̓̈͛̐͘Į̶̠͔̣̺͈͍̾̈́̀̔̍̔̐T̷͈̤̟̘̜̲̞͕͗͑̍̅͊̽̅ͅḨ̵̤̟̩̤͉͍̱́̀̄̉͂̉͂̕ ̴̙̟͚͈̞͍̈́̉F̶͙̤́̈́̊̉͛̇Į̷͖̯̲͇̼̎̔͂̂̏͂́̕͘͝Ŗ̷͍͉̓̀͐͌͐E̵̡̗̹̱͍̪̠̞͚͖̺͆

So glad that Phil is concluding this sick run with yet another lineup of interesting younger musicians in his band (and that someone at the Cap had the good sense to work on booking a band of actual independent and original music, how refreshing). The Philoween lineup has got a great balance of seasoned vets and that more indie trickster vibe. Should be a lot of fun.

Ummm.    I'd consider a new album with original music new and fresh but you do you..

Trouble ahead, Jerry in Red.

Garcia Peoples is a great live band, I've seen them several times.I also like their original albums a lot!

Their album, Natural Facts, is a great place to start.  Canvas, Weathered Mountains, High Noon Violence all stand out to me.

From Nightcap at Wit's End, try Wasted Time, Altered Place and One at a Time.  All good.
