Furthur - Album?

Forums:

Hi All,

I got to thinking about the batch on new tunes that Further had introduced, yet sadly never made it onto an official album. If I remember correct, wasn't there an unofficial complication of good versions of these those songs going around? I can't seem to find a link or any reference to this on google but would love to check it out.  Or perhaps do anyone of you have a list of those tunes?

I only saw them play this live one time. I still listen to it every now and again when Furthur comes to mind.

Not sure.  I did enjoy the first few Furthur shows w/ Jay Lane a lot though.

I'd like to hear it.

Mountain Song and Big Bad Blues are both excellent.

Furthur fan here.  Phil dusted off stuff that hadn't been played for decades (Alligator, Golden Road, Mason's, etc.), and really mixed up the setlists that had become predictable as far as placement. The needed vocal muscle was nice and then we discovered hard-poundin' Joey Russo.

I thought I read that Phils kid put lyrics to the old PERRO "Mountain Song", which was cool.

Furthur was a great and underrated band. I loved 2009-2011 era. Got bored after that.

Also: I didn't like Jeff Perhson with the Fall Risk in the 90's, and I didn't like Jeff Perhson in Furthur. Less about his vocals and more just about him.

I managed to find a Furthur song list over at theotherones.net, its quite extensive...

http://www.otherones.net/furthur/songs

Also, didn't realize the ratdog.org board was still a thing but apparently its still quite active, found a link to it on that furthur song page.

Here's my list thus far:

Big Bad Blues

Seven Hills of Gold

Welcome to the Dance

Muli Guil

High on a Mountain

The Mountain Song

Money for Gasoline

>>>Ashes And Glass, Two Djinn ~ Bob Weir

>>>Celebration, No More Do I ~ Phil Lesh

These were already released on Bobby's 'Evening Moods' , and Phil's 'There and Back Again' albums.

Thought I read somewhere that the GD had been rehearsing Two Djinn before Jerry died? Would love to hear a tape of that!

I was going to say "Jus' Like Mama Said" but it looks likes Furthur never played it, only Ratdog... oh well I still like it!

^^^ Some nice work there, NYC Dave.

Yeah- no classics on that Furthur list, but the covers were a ton of fun. I recall a gorgeous "Here Comes The Sun" at Red Rocks. '13?

This doesn't count as a Furthur album, but it looks like one.

Didn't furthur cover 20000 light years from home and Fool in the Rain?
