fucking pansies on campus... not just students these days

Forums:

This kinda bullshit has been going on for far too long.  its good of course to be diverse and inclusive at an academic institution.  its worse to completely lose perspective on merit being the most important factor in who gets to speak or gets an opportunity to learn at any academic institution and appalling that any academic institution would stifle what should actually is political (news flash, this shit really isn't) and/or academic freedom in the name of this pansy ass bullshit.  the guy is a Scientist and clearly a subject matter expert who favors a merit based academic system and not some sort of racist or xenophobe.  Do better UC Berkeley

maybe "fags" would have given your headline more teeth

i think the use of the word "pansies" is triggering for some folks. snowflakes? better? all i know is plenty of college campuses these days are nothing more than indoctrination camps for enthusiastic young adults who are looking for their passion and are misguided in the process.

Do homeless people next

Experts on college campuses...

1A means you can say what you want but no one owes you a platform.

The guy is opposed to affirmative action, that sounds benign on the surface but let us dig a bit deeper.

Say there are no set asides for minorities for college admissions and there are 500 slots,

No trouble at all to find 500 whites.  If 500 whites are chosen that implies that there are no qualified blacks or browns.  Not true.

But without some intent to admit minorities the historical record tells us those minorities will be excluded.

Which is exactly what is happening at a couple of prestigious law schools.  Which means fewer minorty lawyers that are hired into prestigious law firms.

Fewer minority judges all the way up the court system.  Looms large these days doesn't it.

So the real deal, as always, like critical race theory hysteria, is advancement of right wing power.

Better listen, honkies...

Lol, there's some inflammatory and hyperbolic language for you.

I spoke to Roger Ailes once and a big part of his rap was railing against prep schools and colleges that he considered nothing more than left wing liberal institutions indoctrinating america's youth.

Missed opportunity to stab him.

Believe me the thought crossed my mind, but there were too many witnesses.

Best I could do was not lend a hand to steady him as he lost his balance and fell down right in front of me.

don't know from triggering

i am all about a good headline
