Including this from The Stone Pony the other night. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN--1EXu-3k  Glad you guys had a good time, Lyn and Keith.

Lyn  & Fitz,

An average Billy show is still better than most.

I thought he was projecting when he made the comment about the crowd not being drunk and rowdy.

Today’s FB post shed light on what I thought was the first average Billy show that I’ve seen.

I’m looking forward to the boys getting some R&R and tearing it up in Detroit

Disco was looking good!

Not on FB. Care to elaborate?

((( Voodoo )))

I totally agree, Sunday was so much fun and I had a blast, it was so good to see you and D Stu again ( like old times with a mini zoner meet up <3 ).

When he made that comment It sounded like he thought "Asbury"  was gonna be a crazy drunken hoot ...lol !!  Instead we were "all polite n shit" ...;)  Really tho we could not even exhale it was that packed !

I felt he was more mellow than other shows I had listened to and attributed that to him sounding a bit tired,  but it all just what we needed. The only post I saw today was that he was feeling the toll of touring and wearing down a bit, is that what you mean ?

I went and ordered 3 of his cd's....been spinning them in the player to alleviate some stress of nursing homes and a failing mom....been a rough week !!

I've been watching some of his videos. I am not a bluegrass person, and I don't usually like quick picking on banjo or mando, so I'm not that into his band, but there is something good there, even for me. I mostly like his guitar playing and his sensibilities about himself (as posted on Facebook, etc.) and others. I love that he shared about his being tired and that he's dealing with anxiety. I hope he gets the r & r he's looking for.

((((Lynn's mom))))

here's the post

"We’ve been on tour for 10 weeks and Im feeing it. Anxiety has been kicking my ass lately and I’m not afraid to admit it. Shit comes out of nowhere and knocks me down. Lots of weight on my shoulders and lots of moving around. Every day is a grind but I’m grateful for all of it. So thankful for all the folks who have been showing up to our shows on this tour. It’s been a big one for us literally and metaphorically. We have like 7 gigs left until I get to go #HOME and relax and just put around town in my chevelle.. maybe go skateboarding or something. Feeling like I need to unplug for a bit and I’m looking forward to some time off but I just want to say thank you soo much for all the love. No matter how much anxiety Im feeling , the second I walk on stage and see all of your smiles and you send your love up to us it washes it all away and I’m able to take a deep, cool satisfying breath. Thank you for the support and for understanding that I’m a human. I love y’all so much. Just wanted to say that ❤️ "

Thanks Voodoo.

Hope Billy gets the R & R he richly deserves. Sounds like he know what he needs. That life IS a grind.

Hopefully the lessons from this one result in better scheduling in the future. That boy has a long career in front of him if he chooses.

Show tonight - 8:30 eastern time.

Yeah no burnout please. I plan on seeing him for many years to come. He's the real deal. Zepp's Hot Dog came on the radio yesterday and I couldn't help noticing how god awful page was trying to play country music. Even the intro riff is sloppy sludgy horrible compared with what you just turned me on to. Thanks fellas

Ha.  When I was learning that tune, I remember thinking Page "could've done a few more takes."cheeky (Not that I played it any better.)

Looking at workflow here, and it looks like I may actually get to watch this thingyes

He ain't smilin' much. When I've seen him, he's usually a bit more relaxed. Hope he loosens up.

Brangin it!

The times I've seen him, he's come back from break with a killer 15-20 minute jam. Made me wonder - what do they do at set break?  LOL

I'd love to see this kid play an hour of improv with Bela Fleck and Chris Thile.

I forgot and tuned in late, not too long before Taz came on. I enjoyed them more than I thought I would and Taz's tone and playing added just what I needed to mitigate the sharpness of the mandolin (and banjo to a lesser degree). I had a lot of fun listening to the rest of the show. I got it.

I went to dinner at set break so I missed the second set. I imagine it'll be up on the tubes sometime soon.

Glad you dug it to some degree Judit, and glad other folks enjoyed the couch tour. Thanks Relix. What a treat!

Thanks to both of you for the links. Love.

You're welcome. Not sure how long they'll leave it up. Love back at'cha, Judit.

Undeniable jamming. Thanks for the link and intro
