That term, mainstream media, seems so archaic coming from Fox News, the highest rated news/entertainment network.
I was just out of the country. It was extremely refreshing to watch news from NHK (Japan), DW (Germany), and even BBC World (UK). It just shows how stupid the American public really is when CNN, Fox, MSNBC, cover nothing but scandalous stories for months on end. There was a time when a lot more world news was covered on these channels, besides all these glorified scandals.
