Four MASH "Christmas" episodes, but three year war?

Forums:

11 seasons ....yeah right... I knew something was off!

This is to say nothing about how after the 3rd Christmas episode is the New Year's episode that goes from 1/1/51 to 1/1/52!

... keeping in mind all of the above that the Korean War started in the summer of 1950

251 episodes. Even if some covered more n one day, that's still not even a year

Although the show was set in the Korean war, it was really "about" the war in Viet Nam., which lasted about 15 years.

How long can the South Park boys be pre-pubescent?

I love MASH. The third christmas episode, Death Takes a Holiday, is my favorite episode.

I can honestly say that my decision to never enter or trust the military was shaped early by this series.

The anti authoritarian antics were wonderful.

Klinger: Colonel, I missed you!
Potter: No.
Klinger: About my heart murmer, Sir.
Potter: No.
Klinger: My double vision is coming back.
Potter: No.
Klinger: I've fallen in love with a goat!
Potter: No.
Klinger: Glad to have you back, Sir

Bart Simpson has been in the 4th grade for 25 years! Loldevil

I'm probably at 220 or so since the start of the pandemic.

But to your point:  had I been cognizant of this "plot hole" earlier, I could've easily counted the number of "cycles" where they're complaining about the heat, then complaining about the bitter cold.   I suspect it's probably a dozen cycles.

Yeah, have read about that too.  The series definitely has the "feel" of a much longer war.

I generally dislike all holiday episodes in TV series, but that was a good one ... and they did a great job of integrating it with their underlying themes and such.

The series actually had quite a few "non-standard" episodes in terms of deviating from their typical format and give them kudos for trying new things.

Yeah, Simpsons too (even though there were plenty of episodes where they flashed forward to when some of the characters were older).

I was actually just thinking about this topic as it relates to Freaks and Geeks being only one season.

The Korean war actually has not ended yet. There has been a cease-fire in place since the 1950s.

^ for the "win"!

I just watched a Halloween episode (it was either at the end of season 10 or the beginning of 11) ... definitely advances the "artificial timeline".  My guess is it'd be 6-9 years if you add up all the holidays and change of seasons.

I'm only 6 episodes into the 11th and final season ... about half the episodes are good, and the other half have a foot in the door of jumping the shark.

I knew this was a faceonmars thread before opening because I remember seeing this thread on PT recently.

lol, I've been Bucky'd ... he used to always call me out on cross-posts to PT

Last night I watched the episode with extreme heat.  Hawkeye gave Klinger some placebos ... which "worked" on him to combat the heat.

Yet, less than 10 episodes ago, it was Halloween.

I'm starting to think it's more like 12-15 years
