Flame Throwers

Forums:

Never would have thought.

Are flamethrowers legal?

Yes. Flamethrowers are federally unregulated tools and not considered a firearm by the BATF. No need for any NFA tax stamps, licensing or even an FFL dealer. It’s the purchaser’s responsibility to ascertain that ownership and or use does not violate any state or local laws or regulations.

I've had one for years, but strictly for home protection.

The damned liberals better keep their hands off my flame thrower.

That’s thing is pretty fucking cool, in a stupid way.  It’s multiple Darwin Awards waiting to happen.

My Uncle (RIP)  did some of his WWII stint at some proving ground / test facility somewhere in NY state.  I don't recall the actual location from our conversation  40 or so years back,  but he described extremely powerful Flamethrowers which would incinerate the "test material" at 20-30 feet away.

I tended to mostly believe his crazy stories;  he was a NYC cop for decades, trained to recall and explain factual accounts from observations.

What I thought was "That's pretty Rad;  I want one."

They could be useful for clearing brush.  Who here didn't make personal flamethrowers as a kid using an aerosol can and a lighter?

Who here hasn't made one using their anus and a lighter?

seems like overkill, i cant think of anything i would want to use a flamethrower for that i wouldnt rather do with a standard propane flamethrower you can buy at any rural hardware store

Jazfish, have you seen DC Cab with Bill Maher and Mr T?

i like the tank flame throwers myself

might as well make it a party

I don't know and I hope I never do, but it seems to me one of those would make getting rid of snow a hell of a lot easier than shoveling it all winter.

FLAME ON!!!
