First Irvine

I think that was the epic weekend road trip. Not much money but one friend had a connection for a free room in Vegas.

Boulder >Vegas>Irvine>Boulder

Left Boulder on Thursday night and started driving home after the Irvine show and went to work on Monday. 4 heads, no limits.

Drove from Boulder for 86>87>88 (Actually, flew in 87). Drove from Boulder to Frost 89.

It was a Tempe, Vegas, Irvine weekend. Only went to Irvine. Saw the last Warfield show later that week. Hitchhiked up on a whim at the last second and scored a ticket outside.

irvine was our local show.

great memories.

JGB played there with Hunter in 84. Never understood why he would play such a huge place in 84. Saw him on that 4 night mini tour in Beverly Hills 1,500 occupancy Reseda 1000 occupancy and Irvine where it holds like 15.000. Missed the Santa Barbara show which holds like 1,500. No way JGB was that popular out west at that time. By the late 80's he was.

The GD show a month earlier in 84 was very good IMO.

^^^^ if Bob & Rob opened it was '89

@Stringwang that must have been 84. Vegas was Friday and Irvine Saturday.. 83 Irvine was Sunday. No way could you have left Irvine on Sunday after the show and made it to work Monday morning in Boulder.

Thanks. 84 makes sense in the bigger scheme of things.

There's some meat with the potatoes in the 2nd set of Irvine 84

Just gave it a spin
