Wow, I never caught that Slick.  Spooky!

Fucking miss that dude

"stones roll from my eyes instead of years" check it out at 5:22

We spent our honeymoon weekend in Chicago for these shows.

Hotel staff enjoyed the leftover wedding cake we shared.

Visions from 7/8 was awesome; U.S. Blues was a horrible train wreck.

Jerry was clearly in need of some time off. Who knew just how much?

broken heart

Missed this one. I was living in the SW Chicago burbs, and had just ended a long-term relationship and really wasn't feeling like going to a Soldier Field show, and especially after most of my experiences with the GD in the 90s. The whole scene had become kind of a drag and the band was much more hit-or-miss than usual. I remember telling a friend at the time that I'll catch them the next time around.

Visions from 7/8 was awesome>>>

Stadium screens with SBD audio, fist pumps @ 5:30.   Crazy good stuff.

Good Times for me at these shows, as was my overall experience with seeing the band at Soldier Field. I was a longtime local and knew "the backroads"  as it were.

A wild twist near the end of the show had me connected with some old friends and I stayed out/up way too late, especially given that I had to trek clear out to the NW suburbs and then back into the city in the morning for a first day at a new job not far from the scene of the crime of that last show. Weird little vibes at different points in the show had me strangely nostalgic and mentally flipping through some associated stuff that makes more sense now than it did then.

Always a hoot indeed!!
