The list of favorite cartoon characters is a mile long. From Mushmouse and Pumpkinpuss to Thunderbirds to you name it. But this strange ol bird on Captain Kangaroo was by far my favorite non-cartoon non puppet character. He wasn't on every episode but whenever he was I just loved him so much I couldn't stop the silly nonsense laughing. Waaaay before the days of drugs, this dude made me sky high happy. Almost as happy as a snow day.
